Toto odborné stanovisko reprezentuje názor České asociace intervenční kardiologie a bylo vytvořeno v souladu s vědeckými a lékařskými poznatky dostupnými v době přípravy publikace. Cílem tohoto dokumentu je pomáhat lékařům při volbě nejlepšího diagnostického a léčebného postupu pro každého pacienta s daným onemocněním, přičemž je posuzován jak vliv na klinické výsledky, tak poměr přínosu a rizika daného postupu. Definitivní rozhodnutí týkající se konkrétního pacienta však musí učinit ošetřující lékař po konzultaci s pacientem a tento dokument v žádném případě nenahrazuje individuální odpovědnost každého lékaře. Obsah tohoto dokumentu byl publikován pouze pro nekomerční a edukační účely.
