Výhody fixní kombinace telmisartan/amlodipin v léčbě hypertenze

Kombinace blokátoru receptorů AT1 pro angiotensin II telmisartanu a blokátoru kalciových kanálů amlodi-pinu je perspektivní fixní kombinací u arteriální hypertenze. Díky rozdílným mechanismům působení obou látek má tato kombinace výrazný aditivní antihypertenzní účinek, který je navíc umocňován dlouhým biologickým poločasem amlodipinu i telmisartanu. Použití fixní kombinace telmisartan/amlodipin v dávce 1× denně vede k rychlému a výraznému poklesu krevního tlaku u mladších i starších hypertoniků i u nemocných s mírnou, středně těžkou či těžkou hypertenzí. Tato fixní kombinace je prokazatelně účinná rovněž u hypertenzních diabetiků a pacientů s obezitou. Přítomnost telmisartanu snižuje riziko amlodipinem indukované tvorby periferních otoků. Tolerance fixní kombinace telmisartan/amlodipin je obecně velmi dobrá. Rovněž je důležité, že telmisartan i amlodipin mají z rozsáhlých randomizovaných studií dostatek evidence o příznivém ovlivnění kardiovaskulární morbidity a mortality.
